FAQ
Questions, answered straight
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
- How do estimates work?
- Estimates are free. Request one online or call 303-999-9022, and we'll typically set up a site visit so we can see the property, talk through what you want, and give you an accurate quote — not a guess over the phone.
- What areas do you serve?
- We serve Aurora, Denver, and the surrounding Denver metro area. If you're nearby but not sure whether we cover your neighborhood, give us a call at 303-999-9022 and we'll let you know.
- How much do your services cost?
- It depends on the property — yard size, current condition, and the scope of work all matter, so we don't quote flat prices sight unseen. Estimates are free, and you'll get a clear written quote before any work starts.
- Do you charge for an estimate?
- No. Estimates are free, whether it's a one-time project or ongoing service. There's no obligation after the visit.
- How often should I water my lawn?
- Deep and infrequent beats shallow and daily. Denver Water's summer rules encourage watering no more than three days a week and avoiding the 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. window, and most metro utilities have similar guidance. Check your local utility's rules, and we can help fine-tune a schedule for your yard.
- When should I aerate and overseed my lawn?
- Early fall — around September — is the best window for the cool-season grasses that dominate Front Range lawns. The soil is still warm, summer stress is over, and seed has time to establish before winter. Spring is a workable second choice.
- When should I schedule my sprinkler startup?
- Mid-spring, once hard freezes are done for the season. We pressurize the system, check every zone, and adjust heads so you start the watering season with everything working.
- When should I schedule my sprinkler blowout?
- Before the first hard freeze — along the Front Range, that usually means late September through mid-October. Blowout season books up fast, so it's smart to schedule early.
- Is xeriscape right for me?
- It's a strong option if you have lawn you don't really use, areas that are hard to keep watered, or you want lower water bills and less mowing. It's not all-or-nothing — many people convert part of the yard and keep turf where they use it. We'll give you an honest read during a free estimate.
- Are there rebates for replacing my lawn with xeriscape?
- Many Colorado water utilities offer turf-replacement rebates, but programs and amounts vary by city and change over time. Check with your local water utility for current details — we can point you in the right direction for your area.
- Do you haul away debris and clippings?
- Cleanup and haul-away vary by job, so we cover exactly what's included when we scope your project — it's discussed during your estimate so there are no surprises.
- How far out do you book, and how do I get on the schedule?
- It varies by season — spring and fall are our busiest times, and sprinkler blowouts in particular fill up quickly. The best move is to call 303-999-9022 or request an estimate online as early as you can, and we'll give you a realistic timeline.
